Consulting Valley

Enterprise architecture consulting

We design strategy, operations, systems, data and metrics as a single whole, so every company objective reaches the process, the system and the number that measures it.

Management without technology breeds inefficiency. Technology without management breeds waste.

That is why GVC has no management-only or technology-only projects. Every engagement starts from the same architecture: the objective shapes the process, the process shapes the system, the system produces the data, and the data feeds the metric that informs the next decision.

Challenges

Where companies lose the thread

The symptoms show up in different places, but the cause is usually the same: parts of the company were decided in isolation. Each challenge below has an entry point in the journey.

Strategy never reaches operations

There is a plan, but each department runs on its own priorities and no one can say which process supports which objective. The Architect Scan traces every objective down to the process, system, data and metric, and shows where it gets lost.

Fragmented processes and systems

Every team has its own process, spreadsheet and system, and the same data gets keyed in twice. We design the process first, then implement, integrate and automate on top of it.

Data no one trusts

Every report gives a different answer to the same question. Data governance defines the trusted source, owner, quality and lineage of each piece of information, built on the DaedalusPy framework.

See data governance

Projects that don't deliver

Deadlines slip, scope grows without a formal decision and status depends on whoever updates the spreadsheet. The GVC Methodology structures each project into Frames, Deliverables and Activities, with governance in place and cost as the starting point.

AI without governance

AI tools come in through individual initiative, with no data policy and no human review point. We treat AI as a layer of the architecture: trusted data, a designed process and a defined use case before the tool.

The GVC Architect journey

Architect Scan, Base, Scale and Core+

A four-step journey. Each step delivers structure you can use on its own, and the next one starts only when the previous one has earned it. Every engagement includes a weekly progress report and a monthly executive committee with the sponsor.

Architect Scan

Companies that need to see where strategy breaks down before deciding where to invest.

An enterprise architecture assessment focused on operational improvement. We review strategy, operations, technology and applications, data and performance, and trace every objective to its process, system, data and metric. You receive a report of improvements and misalignments, a traceability map, an inventory of the processes, systems and metrics reviewed, a roadmap prioritized by impact and effort, and an executive presentation. The roadmap is yours, even if you decide to carry it out without us.

Architect Base

A single department that needs to run as a system: sales, finance, operations or another critical function.

Operational improvement of one department through enterprise architecture. Functional strategy for the department (Gold, Silver and Bronze premises), SMART objectives with a traceability matrix, process architecture and process sheets, a map of routines, rituals and policies, a systems and data map, and targets, KPIs and a management dashboard. Improvements are rolled out with hands-on support through the handover to operations.

Architect Scale

Companies that want every business and department aligned, from corporate strategy to each employee's targets.

Architecture for the entire company. Corporate, business (Business Model Canvas and Ansoff matrix) and functional strategy, with cascading objectives and an incentive chain; operational mapping with committees and governance; a portfolio of systems, data model and infrastructure; and a system of targets, KPIs and dashboards. Delivers the strategy dossier and a roadmap for rollout in waves.

Architect Core+

Companies that have implemented their architecture and need to keep it alive.

Ongoing governance of strategy, processes, systems and data. Objectives, processes and metrics are reviewed and kept connected; new practices, processes and integrations are rolled out as the business requires; and a management cadence supports leadership decisions. Includes a monthly governance and progress report and a prioritized backlog of improvements, delivered within the contract SLA.

Projects

Architecture projects

When the challenge is already well defined, a project goes straight to the right layer without losing its connection to the others. The scope of each one builds on what the assessment uncovered.

Strategic Planning

Owners and executives who need a strategy that cascades into objectives with an owner and a metric.

External and internal analysis (Porter's Five Forces and McKinsey 7S), corporate and business strategy, functional premises by department and cascading SMART objectives. Delivers the strategic plan, a matrix of objectives, targets and metrics, and an action plan with named owners.

Talk to a consultant

Business Architecture

Companies where no one is quite sure who decides what, or why each process exists.

A deliberate design of how the company operates: value chain and core processes, a decision model with roles and responsibilities (RACI) and information flows. Delivers the target architecture with a transition plan.

Talk to a consultant

Organizational Design

Companies whose structure no longer keeps up with their strategy.

An assessment of the current structure (McKinsey 7S), a target structure with departments, roles and decision levels, and capability sizing. Delivers the org chart, role descriptions, a responsibility matrix and a transition plan.

Talk to a consultant

Organizational Culture

Leaders who want a culture designed for their strategy rather than inherited by habit.

An assessment of the actual culture (Cultural Web) and a design of the target culture (Culture Design Canvas). Delivers a current-culture report, the target-culture canvas and a plan for rituals and behaviors with alignment metrics.

Project Management

Critical projects that need method, governance and a status report you can trust.

The GVC Methodology in practice: a structured kickoff, strategic frames and tactical cycles, and tracking of scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk. Delivers the project plan and schedule, status reports with metrics, and a log of risks, decisions and lessons learned.

Systems Implementation

Companies implementing or replacing an ERP, CRM or management platform.

The system follows the company's processes, not the other way around. Process and requirements discovery, solution design, configuration, data migration and integrations, testing, user training and supported go-live.

Talk to a consultant

Systems Development

Operations with a differentiator that no off-the-shelf system supports.

Custom systems built within the company's technology architecture: requirements tied to processes, solution architecture, iterative development validated by the client, deployment and supported operation. Delivers a documented solution and trained users.

Talk to a consultant

Process Automation

Teams stuck with repetitive manual work on processes that are already designed.

Automating chaos only speeds up chaos. We map the processes, select the automations with the highest return and deploy them with testing and monitoring. Delivers a map of the automated processes and documented automations.

Data Governance

Companies that need numbers they can trust, data ready for AI and compliance with Brazil's LGPD.

Data managed as an asset, with an owner, quality, lineage and LGPD compliance, built on the DaedalusPy framework. Ontology and a trusted source for each piece of information, owners and stewards, data contracts and quality metrics, pipelines and a data catalog. Delivers the data model, catalog, governance policies and roles.

Ongoing services

Sustain and evolve

What has been implemented must keep working and keep pace with the business. Ongoing services keep applications, integrations and decisions inside the same architecture.

Application Valley

Companies running custom applications that support their operations.

Custom applications for what sets your operation apart, maintained within the company's technology architecture.

Talk to a consultant

Integration Valley

Operations whose ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and APIs don't talk to each other.

ERP, CRM, spreadsheets and APIs connected with no double data entry, each piece of information coming from its trusted source.

Support

Companies running systems that cannot stop.

Ongoing support so that what has been implemented keeps working.

How we work

Working principles

01

Purpose defines form

Objective first, then process, system, data and metric. No tool is chosen before we know what end it serves.

02

Classify before you model

Every process, entity and metric gets a clear definition and a place in the architecture. Without classification, every model inherits the confusion it was meant to resolve.

03

Evidence over opinion

Recommendations come from what we find in documents, processes, systems and numbers, not from the preferences of whoever is in the room.

04

Every deliverable has an owner

Objectives, processes, data and metrics each have a named owner. Diffuse accountability is the most common way for nothing to happen.

05

What counts is what works in operations

A decision is good when it holds up in the company's daily routine, not when it looks good in a slide deck. Assessment, design and implementation move together.

Structure that outlasts our engagement

Cadence and continuity

Structure that outlasts our engagement

Every project runs on a weekly progress report and a monthly executive committee with the sponsor. The cadence is fixed so decisions don't wait for the next crisis.

Everything we deliver is documented and run by your team: process sheets, a map of routines and committees, the traceability matrix, the data model and dashboards. A business rule that lives only in someone's head belongs to that person, not to the company.

We measure success by what keeps working after we leave. If a company needs its consultants to keep its own operations running, the architecture is incomplete.

Frequently asked questions

What is enterprise architecture?

It is the integrated design of a company: strategy, operations, people, systems, data and metrics treated as one system, with every objective traceable to the process, system, data and metric that support it.

Why start with the Architect Scan?

Because it shows where strategy breaks down before any larger investment. You receive a traceability map and a roadmap prioritized by impact and effort. The roadmap is yours, even if you decide to carry it out without us.

Is GVC a management consulting firm or a technology firm?

We don't separate the two. Implementing an ERP also means redesigning processes and preparing people; restructuring a department requires trusted data to track it. That is why every project, including implementation, integration, development and automation, starts from the same architecture.

How do I track progress?

Through Project Valley, Digital Valley's project management platform: frames, deliverables, activities, decisions and scope changes are recorded and visible to you in real time. The weekly progress report and the monthly executive committee with the sponsor are run from there.

Do I need to sign up for the full journey?

No. Each step delivers structure you can use on its own. A standalone project, such as data governance or systems implementation, can also be engaged directly, always connected to the rest of the architecture.

Where does your strategy break down?

A short assessment call shows which step of the journey makes sense now and what it delivers.
